Still recovering from two incredible weeks exploring the rugged beauty of Scotland. Memories, stories, and countless photos from the journey are slowly finding their way to my screen.
And what better way to kick off this new series than with one of Scotland’s most iconic landmarks—Eilean Donan Castle. Standing there, it was impossible not to feel the weight of history, and I couldn’t help but think of Christopher Lambert’s unforgettable scenes from Highlander. The atmosphere felt almost cinematic, as if the stones themselves whispered legends of the past.
The day started off calm, with a mostly clear sky—definitely not the dramatic weather I had hoped for. But just when I thought I’d pack up, the sun dipped low, bathing the castle in a glowing, golden light. I couldn’t have asked for a better finale.
As always, I looked for a strong foreground element to give the scene depth and guide the viewer’s gaze toward the castle. The rugged rocks and the golden hues worked together to create a timeless moment—a place where history and nature meet in harmony.
